I started working as a Design and Technology technician in a school and soon had sore dry hands. I found Derma Shield whilst searching on the web and decided to try it. It works very well and I happily recommend it.
I bought a small can of Derma Shield for my son who works with coolant and was suffering from sore hands, he has been so impressed by the use of this product that his boss has offered to buy some in.
Derma Shield was purchased by us for one of our employees for whom our usual barrier cream was not working – the rsults have been remarkable! Would thoroughly recommend this product. Excellent customer service too!

I have been using Derma Shield for a number of years. I was first introduced to it at the Southampton Boat Show. I have suffered from eczema for almost 20 years and this is the product that has the greatest success at minimising the symptoms. I have tried alternative products, but none of them have been as consistent as Derma Shield for relief and protection. You’re still the best! Thanks.
I used to be a Dermashield reseller many years ago. I didn’t make much money but overall it was a good experience.
I then moved abroad and that was that.
But now, years later, I have rediscovered it and it’s as amazing as ever. I am a committed user.

Using Dermashield makes me feel much more confident when using detergents and other products. Maybe they’ll go one better and make it last all day so that you don’t need to top up! (I always forget to top up). It’s a brilliant product.
I have had a problem with my the skin on my fingers splitting for years and tried lots of different product to no real avail. The problem was exacerbated when I retired and aquired and allotment. The soil simply stripped the oil from my skin. I found Derma Shield on the internet when searching for a barrier cream. Without doubt it is the best product I have used and the problem of dry skin, splitting and bleeding is no longer and issue. I now use it twice a day throughout the year whether doing dirty work or not. Even handwash soaps used to cause me problems but with this product, they no longer do. I highly recommend it.
Derma Shield was first recomended to me on a forum, so far I have been through 1 can, and found that whilst using it my hands were crack free, since running out, cracks are appearing daily…. Time to order myself another couple cans… Would highly recomend Derma Shield.
I have been using Derma Shield for several years after seeing a demonstration at the Malvern Flower Show, and have found it to be the only product that is able to control my eczema which always flares up whenever I do gardening or other outdoor work and in cold weather. I use it every day and find that it gives a high degree of protection. Previously I was constantly having to use Betnovate Cream to ease my sore skin which I was not keen to do on a long term basis due to the possible adverse side effects. Another thing I like about this product is that it is completely non greasy once it has dried on your skin.
I always have a large 500ml can for use at home and find the small 50ml can excellent to take on holiday.
I bought Derma Shield for my daughter when she started a hairdressing apprenticeship. Her hands were getting really sore and red from them constantly being in water and exposed to hair colouring products. We were worried that she might not be able to continue her apprenticeship as the use of gloves was discouraged because they made it difficult to feel whether the hair was fully rinsed. Derma Shield has completely solved the problem. I would definitely recommend it to others.
Received a free trial can at a Health and Safety Exhibition, used it and my dry cracked skin cleared up, when the can ran out I returned to using work supplied barrier creams and unfortunately the condition of my skin has deteriorated again, time to get some more DermaSheild . . . LESSON LEARNED
Wow, Bought this product for my husband, after a couple of days use his hands improved tremendously. No more splits on this fingers. Very impressed.
Derma Sheild is brilliant. i use it pretty much ever day while im at work and it stops my hands getting irritated. I have recommended it to all my work colleges and will willingly recommend it to anyone!

Dermashield is a good product-its dual purpose.Not only as a barrier cream,but as a moisteriser.It’s taken a year or two off my hands.
I found derma very useful, I first tried this after been given a demonstration at a Mach Exhibition.
I had a similar problem to that described by Veronica. DermaShield certainly eased the skin itch that I frequently felt after swimming. However, it was not until after a dew swims that I realised that I should have been applying before I swam and not afterwards.
Correct, be sure to apply DermaShield before you go swimming. Always give it a few minutes to dry on your skin before entering the water.
I swim about 3 times a week and it took a while to connect my itchy back with the chlorine in the pool. I’d always thought it had something to do with the central heating in winter etc. But when it seemed constant I found Derma Shield on the internet and thought it worth a try – I used it twice a day and after a week the itch was much reduced and by the end of 2 weeks it had gone and I could swim in comfort and didn’t itch at other times of day. I am now purchasing some for one of my swimming friends to try and will continue to use it myself.
while being a little sceptical i purchases Derma Shield, it took a month of daily use but i have found the dermatitis on my arm and hand all the better for using it
I have used Dermashield on & off for around ten years, since it’s inventor was advertising it. It’s expensive compared to other products but very good. Like Paul, in an earlier blog, I also use Lotil & together they do a good job.
Excellent product use it when messing with cars and it does wonders
i have used dermashield most days at work in the bearing industry for the last 15 years due to having my hands in kerosene all day its the only thing that stops your hands going red raw and peeling its amazing ,now use it at home in the garden and now my two sons use it to stop there hands from drying out using ceramic tile grout at work no other product works like it and ive tried lots

Why Why Why dont doctors recomend Derma Shield? For years they have been giving me creams that calm my dermatitis but only when I started to use Desrma Shield have my skin complaints gone away.

Derma Shield is available on NHS prescription and although there are no restrictions on how it is prescribed, at the moment very few Doctors are aware of it. Once you know how good Derma Shield is for you, we suggest you visit your Doctor, show him or her the improvement in your skin and then request the 500ml can on NHS prescription. Your Doctor may not be able to find a reference within “MIMMS” however it is listed in “Chemist & Druggist” under PIP code 219-3936. Your local pharmacy will probably order it direct from us. If they encounter any problems please ask them to contact us.
Truly amazing product. I despaired of ever having clean hands after gardening and could never get rid of the ground in dirt from my fingertips and nails. I wished that I could have two pairs of hands one for gardening and one for going out as I often felt like hiding my hands behind my back as I felt ashamed of them. When I discovered Dermashield it was a fantastic feeling as I could use it on my hands before gardening and then afterwards the dirt just rinsed away. Thanks you so much for this wonderful protective product – so easy to use and a little goes a long way. I will always be a fan.
I tried this product for my partner who was suffering from bad dermatitis on his hands and it worked a treat – calmed the irritation and acted as an effective barrier. Prevention and cure – together at last!
Starting from about five years back I’ve always suffered from contact dermatitis on the back of my hands, tried all sorts of different creams to solve the problem but with no success. I came across Derma Shield and thought I’d give it a go without much hope of it being any different from the rest of the stuff thats out there. I’m writing this because it actually does do what it says on the tin, well impressed
I would just like to say thanks for your great product. i work in the gardens of a hospice so am always getting my hands covered in soil etc. with this product it takes me no time now to get my hands clean again..
Have used Derma Shield for years. It was a godsend when my granddaughter was suffering with nappy rash and sores, after trying all the usual remedies, that failed miserably, I gave my daughter a can of Derma Shield, Within a day the problems were gone. My wife uses it on her hairline to prevent the dye colouring her skin. I use it when doing any dirty jobs. It’s just a miracle product.
This is a great product.
I first saw this product at a tattoo show in Reading last year and was given a 50ml sample and as a tattooist I tried it on myself after a self tattoo and I can say that it took the soreness away after about a hour, I used it three times a day for a week and the tattoo did not scab up and the skin healed very quick so now after I tattoo any one I alway cover with Derma Shield and tell the customer to see if they can buy it from some where, this is the best stuff that I have used its GREAT.

used for many years keeps hand from getting in ground dirt and also keeps them soft, used for gardening /household chores /nappy rash and husband uses it on his hand as hes a domestic appliance engineer ,and hes hands were rough with constant scrubbing now soft. never looked back since finding this on the web a few years back. sue 16/2/2011
The product is truelly remarkable. I was a sceptic when I was shown the demonstration until i actually used it. I am now a convert. No trace of oils or odours. Got to be a better alternative than nitrile gloves. Well done Dermasheild.
The “creme de la creme”. So many areas where this great product protects and moisturises.
I am a decorator and work inside and out in all kinds of weather. I use a lot of paste, which has a fungaside in to stop mould. As the paste dries it causes skin on hand to crack and bleed, gets into the cracks causing dermatitis… this dermasheild is a godsend.
i think this product is great, i have suffered from contact dermatitis for 15 years and i am a hairdresser, when using derma shield my condition rapidly improved. My skin felt flexible and hydrated and i was able to forget about the pain i was previosely expierencing from swollen cracked skin.
I spotted dermashiled being demonstrated at the Health & Safety event at Bolton in October, I gave the free sample to a colleague who suffers with skin disorders, and although it didnt “cure” his problem, it did alleviate glove rub and lessened his symptoms. I then purchased two large containers and gave one of these to an area where their hands are made black with resign, the dermashiled helps remove this resign without too much scrubbing as before. It’s a good product, although it may appear expensive, it really isn’t one large can per employee per year seems pretty good value.
Just purchased a second lot of Dermashield – my son is a hairdresser and had tried all sorts of lotions and potions for dermatitis before I found Dermashield on the internet. Highly recommend.
I have been using this product for years. A friend introduced it to me because I had dry skin problems on my hands and my fingers regularly cracked. I had tried every hand cream and barrier cream you can imagine without any great successes! This product is brilliant! I use it whenever I am decorating as paint comes off much easier. Wallpaper paste used to cause my hands to go really dry and get itchy, put this on before and no problems! In this cold weather my hands would get very dry but every morning before I leave for work I put some Derma Shield on my hands and that is enough to stop them drying up. I have told several people about this product and they too found it to be excellent. I have just given one of the small cans I had started to my nephew as he has been getting terrible dermatitis and tried everything to get rid of it. I have great hopes he will tell me it has helped him tremendously!
You may think this product is expensive, well it has stayed the same price for a few years now! I use one of the large cans and it can last up to a year!! Thats using it once a day. So it is in fact inexpensive! Try it and you will be very surprised! I can’t praise it enough!
If you leave out the VAT element Derma Shield has increased in price by only 10.2% since 1994. We have done this by passing on all our savings as our purchasing power has increased.
I have used this product for over a year now and it gives the best protection ive come across. Its expensive but worth every penny, even my doctor was impressed with the improvement in the condition of my hands and that is after trying most of his recommendations including some strong steroid creams. Had a breakthrough at work last week. I introduced Dermashield at work some time back and the take up has been good amongst our female assemblers with some great and unexpected improvements in long standing skin conditions. However the predominately male metalworkers could not be persuaded thinking it not macho to be applying cream to their hands. One of the guys has had a problem with his hands for a long time and it was starting to affect his work. He obviously discussed it with one of the ladies and she convinced him to try Dermashield and at the start of every shift he popped into the assembly section to avail himself of a dollop. As has happened before the condition improved and his hands are now fine. The breakthrough was when the metalwork supervisor asked for a dispenser for his department as all the guys wanted to start using Dermashield after seeing Dave’s improved hands. Why does it take blokes so long to recognise the right thing to do?

I work with fresh fish daily and have had trouble with not only the obvious odour but i have also had a rash appear where the fish touches any area of sensitive skin such as the lower wrist, after a thorough search on the web i came across derma shield which has amazed me in that my skin is no longer sensitive to the fish juices/oils that caused the rashes and i am also able to wash my hands free of any fish odour at the end of the day. My search is over as derma shield is without doubt the answer.
I first came across Derma Shield at the Birmingham NEC in 1993. I was impressed with the demonstration and have recommended it to numerous people over the years since.
I cannot honestly say that I have come across any other product on the market that can truly compare.
I work as a laboratory technician, and my fingers were always sore and the skin was cracking when things got really bad. I tried several other products with little success, before discovering Derma Shield. Derma Shield helped my fingers to heal over time, and since using it, I have hardly any problems with sore fingers now. The large can lasts a long time, and you don’t realise you have Derma Shield on; it doesn’t interfere with my work or feel greasy. I can thoroughly recommend Derma Shield.
Derma Sheild worked wonders for my contact dermatitis, I’d gone through the usual barrage of topical steroids to no avail. By the time I got to see a consultant I’d bought 3-4 cans of DS and my hands where so much better I took a can to show my consultant and managed to get it on prescription.
I now rarely have problems with my hand these days, but I keep a can in my locker at work and 1 at home for dirty jobs.

This is an excellent product.
I use this as a protective product, especially when I go in the garden. It’s excellent for my sons eczema. My biggest tip is it’s fantastic for if you burn yourself on example the oven or iron, put Derma Shield on straight away and the burn is taken away.
I discovered Derma Shield at an “alternative” show in London about 10 years ago. I’ve used it ever since when I need to do any sort of job that involves detergents, oil, paint, etc. With a generous application before I start work and a good “dose” of Lotil after I’ve finished and washed up has really controlled my dry and cracked skin problems – highly recommended along side LOTIL cream
